In 1997, young Josef Levy leaves Paris, the only place he has ever known, his heart broken and with no idea what lies ahead. He arrives in Jerusalem to begin a new life on a Kibbutz, but it is not long before he discovers there is something very wrong beneath the surface, where danger lurks and events spiral.

In modern-day Paris, Josef’s two grown children are brought together when they discover that everything they thought they knew about their parents has been a lie. To save their family, they must return to Jerusalem and try to understand how the discovery of a skeleton is linked to their father. But Josef isn’t talking.
